Many people in New York and elsewhere oppose surrogacy

In the past, surrogacy is something that has been done without clear laws and regulations in place. Recently, legislation has been created to make sure that commercial surrogacy is governed by the rule of law. For some states, like New York, this could remove the illegality of surrogacy under which the state exists right now, making it an option for parents who are interested.

However, there has been a lot of opposition to this new legislation. The Catholic Church has been especially active in this movement, finding the idea of surrogacy to be immoral. A spokesperson for the church said that it was similar to putting a rental price on a woman's body or offering a child up with a price tag, as something to be bought and sold.

The proponents, however, say that surrogacy is a reality and that laws are needed to protect those who are involved. They point to the fact that many people do not adequately understand their rights during the process.

One thing that could be impacted by this is the use of surrogacy records when a judge is trying to determine the outcome of a child custody case. These surrogacy records could be cited if the process was legal, recorded and controlled by law.

If laws like this are passed in the future, it is going to be very important for anyone involved in a child custody case to look at what the laws means for that case and what impact they could have on the best interests of the child. For this reason, it will be very interesting to watch the progress going forward.
