You can now pay for divorce through divorce funding firms

According to a story in Forbes online, several firms have recently emerged that provide funding for those going through a divorce. This latest niche proves how it has become a modern, technology-rich world by giving even the most cash-poor people a chance to up the stakes and secure their future. This is especially true for New York City residents who possess valuable assets but having trouble laying their hands on cash to pay for a divorce.

Two firms in particular have been making a name for themselves: Balance Point Divorce Funding and Novitas US. These firms provide the financing necessary to go through with all the necessary legal proceedings, effectively enabling the cash-poor to fight for what is rightfully theirs in a high asset divorce. One notable difference between these two firms is that Balance Point reportedly takes a share of the settlement while Novitas utilizes a different repayment method. The Forbes article indicates that Novitas gets repaid according to an agreement made in advance and does not receive repayment if no settlement is reached.

On the surface, it might sound like a sham, but for those who cannot afford to push back against a soon-to-be ex who is intent on dragging the process out until the other spouse is without funds, it might make all the difference. Of course, for those facing divorce, it is still important to make sure to acquire good legal representation regardless of how the divorce is funded. After all, it doesn't matter how much money impending divorcees can access if they are still without adequate methods to make a case for themselves.
